| INGREDIENTS | Very tasty, perfect for any gathering!
Broccoli is rich in fibre and can be great for weight loss (limit the cheese). Perfect as a side dish or on toast.
Ingredients:
Broccoli
Cheese
Maida (all purpose flour)
Butter
Milk
Salt
Garlic
Ajwain
Black pepper | METHOD | Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Grease a baking dish. Boil florets of one large broccoli in boiling water for 10 min.
To make the white sauce, on medium flame heat 3 tbsp butter in a pan, add 3 tbsp maida and mix well. Add crushed garlic, salt and ajwain. Then gradually add 3 cups of milk and 1/4 cup grated cheese. Keep mixing and make it free of lumps. The mixture will keep thickening, and in about 10 minutes, the white sauce will be ready.
Now take it off the gas, mix in the boiled broccoli florets and transfer to a greased baking dish. Sprinkle grated cheese all over the broccoli. Bake it in the oven for about 35-40 minutes. Your broccoli cheese bake is ready.

(Tip: You can control the amount of cheese if you are on a diet. You can also substitute maida with wheat flour)
