RICE KHICHU (TRADITIONALLY PAPAD DOUGH, YUMMY TO EAT) Recipe | Snacks Recipe by reluctant_chef |
| INGREDIENTS | Dough traditionally used to make papad but delicious to eat! Popular Gujrati item often served during Navratri and fairs.
Ingredients:
Rice flour Green chillies (optional) Oil Jeera (cumin seeds) Red chilli powder Salt | METHOD | 2 crushed green chillies, 2 tsp jeera, 4 tsp oil, pinch of baking/cooking soda (not baking powder), salt to taste and bring it to a boil for 3-4 minutes.
Now add rice aata to the boiling water and stir it continuously on a slow flame. Let it cook for 7-8 minutes till the mixture leaves the sides of the pan
In a small bowl, make chilli oil by mixing 8 tsp oil and red chilli powder (depends on the spice you can handle) and keep ready.
Now take it out Khichu in a serving bowl, top it chilli oil with and serve it hot.
