| INGREDIENTS | Easy to make, rich in proteins and great in taste!
Ingredients:
White chana (chole)
Tomatoes
Onions
Ginger
Garlic
Tej patta
Cloves
Cinnamon
Cardamom (elaichi)
Garam masala powder
Chhole masala powder
Chilli powder
Haldi
Dhaniya powder
Kala namak (black salt)
Salt | METHOD | Soak chana overnight. Then next day boil in a cooker. Then sautee tej patta, elaichi, cloves, cinnamon, ginger and garlic paste. Add finely chopped onions pieces and cook until golden brown. The add tomatoes pieces and masala - haldi, chilli powder, dhaniya powder, 1 tsp garam masala, 1 tsp chhole masala, and salt. Add 1/2 cup water, cover and let it cook for 5 min. Now add the boiled chhole, 1tsp Kamla namak, cover the pan and cook for 10 more minutes. Garnish with corriander leaves.
Chana masala (chhole) is so versatile that you can have it for either breakfast or a meal, it simply depends on whether you are having it with roti, puri, paratha, bread or pau (bun). You can even have it with rice.
