i'm 29 years old and my skin is just as oily as ever. even after i wash my face, it is oily again in an hour. and my makeup wears off within the first hour because of all the oil. i used to have bad acne, but it has settled down quiet a bit since i've gotten older. for me, the best thing for the acne was birth control and prescription antibiotics when i was younger. now i use proactiv because i don't want to take a prescription every day and it is the best otc medicine i have ever used (and i have 17 years of searching experience). proactiv cleared my face up so much in just the first few days. using constantly and as directed, it works wonders. i use oil absorber papers to help absorb the oil, but the relief is only temporary. if anyone knows any way to get rid of extremely oily skin please let me know.

Hi, I also suffer from oily skin and break outs. I've noticed my skin getting a little clearer after using 2 spoons of apple cider vinegar and 4 spoons of water. Put on cotton ball and rub on face. No need to rinse. The vinegar kills the bacteria on the face. It also works well for dandruff. I use it twice a day and it helps control some oil but not all of it. It's good to keep some oil on the face as this helps you age slower than those that have dry skin. Hope this helps and best of luck to all.

to get rid of pimples, scars and oily skin do this every day, boil wates add oatmeal then lemon,15 on the face, rinse with hot water, then mix lemon and cucumner apply on the face for anothe 15 minutes..then wash it with cold water...do it 2 times a day...if you get a pimple appply garlic...for 15 minutes then rinse with cold water...during the day if you sweat..just wash it with cold water...it works... i know proactiv doesnt work...it didnt work in my case...

for oily skin-wash your face with gentle products, preferably the ones that are non-comedogenic(oil-free), use oil blotting sheets to mop up the oil (can be found drug stores). Try not to touch your face either because this can cause you to breakout. If you have pimples, i suggest you to use a small amount of tee tree oil on the affected area. Dont forget to drink plenty of water! But dont worry, acne tends to clear up as you get older when your hormones settle down, so try not to worry about it too much. Hope this helps^_^

For oily skin just don't eat oily products like fried foods. U cannot really stop oiling but u can lessen oiling. hai, am 23 years old i too have oily skin and acne prone sin before....but not now....because i follow a kin care routine ie., i wash my face with clean and clear face 3 times a day and cleanse my skin with cetaphil cleansing lotion when my skin is exposed to pollution and dirt. i tone my skin with ayur astringent and use lotus herbals SPF 40 sun block creama and thats my make up.. i use aloe vera moisturizing gel in the evening to moisture my skin and use benzoyl peroxide gel before i go to bed. i use multani mitti(fuller's earth) pack thrice a week to remove excess oil....that ir now myt skin is fresh,with no oil on my face..for oily skin use Loose Powders like lakme rose powder with sunscreen or revlon.which may suit you skin tone...hope this helps..please write back because it surely helps,......all the best

I also have oily skin but if you follow this simple plan for a month it seriously clears your spots, blackheads and oliy skin. 1st of all I ate 6 portions of fruit a day. Oranges are best and so are avocados. secondly i drunk 10 glasses a day of pure mineral water. Then I cut out on the junk sweets, crisps, chocolate etc. Then I got rasperrys and dried them out for a few days then mixed them with yoghurt and toothpaste (sounds gros but trust me) then lightly mixed it together and left it on my face as a mask. The raspberrys seeds leave the skin exfoliated and the yoghurt leaves it fresh and soft and the toothpaste helps it all dry up in a mask. I also sweeped away my fringe to stop spreading bacteria away. I also stopped using foundation and at school took pieces of paper from body shop which are yellow and clear called "powder free absorbers". they absorb the oil in the paper and lift up any spot gunk! That way u can feel fresh and not look like a bag of chips :) Also in answer to SALLY thePill a form of contraceptive does help spots but if you're prone to oily skin it wont solve this and can leave you with putting on weight. Also yes KAREEM the oil does go down as you are older as your hormones settle down and the oil is not made anymroe to soothe you! When I first got spots when I was 11 my whole world was over it felt!
