This is a message for 'megz': I too have suffered from being teased about facial hair from a very young age, so I know how you must be feeling. You mentioned you don't have much money to spend in this area, so I would suggest that you try waxing or threading. Shop around and find a good practitioner. I would also suggest going to your GP and possibly getting a prescription for Vaniqa. It's a cream which reduces hair growth considerably. It's quite expensive, BUT lasts for ages. I've tried it on my face and it really does work. It means fewer visits for waxing and threading. I hope this helps. Good luck.

PEOPLE please do NOT use the veet cream thing for any skin type. it has this smelly asid that makes you skin darker every time you use it. you shud use the veet wax strips. or even better .. use that suger thing in arabic its calld " Halawa " . theres two types the creemy coclred one which is better for your face and the second one which is kinda brown good for the rest of yr body.

Hey everyone. I wanted to reply to hollah. I have the same problem. Its so hard to deal with it and for everyone around you to understand just how embarrassing it is. I dont know how to fix it yet and like you Ive tried everything. Im going to try Baking soda like the girl mentioned above. My sweating happens all the time but mostly not at home. I wonder if maybe it can be and anxiety order. It seems worse when Im uncomfortable. Im glad to here Im not the only one. I also am self concious about my facial hair and have shaved before. It was the worst thing I have ever done. Now I use a facial remover that only burns my skin and leaves it course. Shaving has made it so much thicker and more noticable. I guess waxing is best but expensive. Comments?

I also asked one of ma frends...this is her recipe! not sure if it works..but sumwhat like mine :) Ingredients 2 cups sugar ¼ cup water ¼ cup lemon (nimbu) juice Sugaring Method Pour the sugar, water and lemon juice in a saucepan, and heat it over a low flame. Keep stirring the mixture until all the sugar has melted, and you have a thick brown liquid. Let it cool slightly. Sugaring technique Test the temperature before applying the wax to your skin. It should be hot, but not scalding, or you can burn yourself. Once the wax has cooled slightly, test it on your finger. Blow on it to cool it with your breath and apply it to your skin with a butter knife, in the direction of hair growth. Place a clean cotton cloth strip on the wax and yank it against the direction of hair growth. Wipe the area clean with a cold cloth after you’ve finished waxing. You could also apply ice to the waxed area, to close and tighten pores. You may notice that your skin has turned red, or that you have tiny bumps on the skin immediately after waxing. This is a normal reaction, and the redness and bumps should disappear within an hour. Applying a moisturizer or soothing lotion will help. If you can still see sugar particles in the wax, the hair will probably not come out and you would need to re-cook the wax. ****** Sugar Leg Wax 2 2 Cups sugar 1/4 Cup lemon juice 1/4 Cup water 2 tbsp vegetable glycerine waxing cloth strips (buy at the drugstore) OR use strips of linen cut to the size of these strips wooden popsicle sticks (to stir the wax and to apply) Combine all ingredients in a saucepan. Stir frequently while heating to 250 degrees F or softball stage. Pour into jars and cover with lids. If you use plastic jars, you'll be able to microwave this mixture instead of heating it on the stove. That's it!! You just made your own leg wax/sugar that you'd pay $20 for in the stores! To use the Sugar Wax: Heat in the microwave for ten seconds on high. Using a wooden stir stick, stir VERY well. It should be warm but not HOT. Please be very careful when heating up this wax as it's very easy to burn yourself. If the wax isn't warm enough, place it back in the microwave for five seconds, and stir again. Remember, this is hot sugar syrup – if it gets too hot you'll be badly burned. Lightly powder the area to be treated. Spread a thin layer of the wax on in the same direction as the hair grows. Apply the waxing cloth strip over the applied wax, and rub down well to get the wax to stick to the cloth. Pull your skin taut, and in one quick motion pull the fabric off of your skin AGAINST the direction of hair growth. Continue with the other areas of your leg or wherever you're waxing. When you're done waxing a complete area, rub in lotion, aloe vera gel (fresh is best) or oil to soothe your legs. You can use the homemade waxing strips again if you soak it in soapy water to dissolve the sugar off the fabric and then toss it in with your wash as normal.

Ok i was looking for websites about facial hair. i like everybody else has facial hair. ive tried everything...i used to bleach it but obviously in the summer it looks like fur is on your face. so i tried waxing it. i feel waxing is good. also i would like to say that if anyone decides to wax their face they should be on witch hazel afterwards cos it soothes the area that has been hair removed....meaning that you may not get a rash the next morning. another thing is anyone that is contemplating shaving their moushtashe or any part of the face...then dont because thelong term affects will mess up your face. But waxing by far is the best thing to do.. anyone looking to remove hair from their arms i would recommend epilating. this pulls out the hair from the root and the hair comes back finer. its painful but you get used to the pain. dont forget to exfoliate afterwards and to moisturise. take care peeps

Hi ladies, I hope to help w/ some general answers to the "x-hair"question.. -if u have coarse straight hair:electric buzz first-then shave with those mach5 razors -dark underarms:"pumice stone "the area for about a month-ladies u will have to let the hair grow dont epilate in any way-it's worth it! after a month or longer remove hair. nice clear fair skin under the arms... -in USA we don't have issues w/ hair on the forearms ... VEET seems to be the best product out there in terms of leaving skin silky smooth after.It did not work well on my coarse curly african/american indian hair. I use the VEET then i shave the product off my skin w/ the new "plastic" razors that come now w/ the product. I m not a fan of Nair products..sorry. Good Luck in your trials. And ladies men do like it "bare" down there. Get used to it!!

I was told at a young age that waxing helps to decrease hair growth. that is the biggest lie ever. it makes your hair grow longer, faster, and you actually grow more hair per area of skin. If you are contemplating waxing or shaving your arms or legs, my advice is don't do it! If you can wait it out, do so. If you have to shave your legs, that's one thing, but if you have hair on your arms, don't touch it. For some reason, Indians are ridiculously obsessive about hairs on their arms. Other races have just as much hair on their arms and no one ever comments about it. Do NOT touch the hair on your arms. And if you can help it, shave/wax as infrequently as you can and as late as you can. The earlier you start, the quicker you will scar. And don't start doing anything-waxing, shaving, plucking, threading -unless you plan on doing it for the rest of your life. Hair growth will not get better, only worse, because when you manipulate hairs, you encourage them to grow more.

Ladiez, If you want to remove hair from any area of your body, you should buy a waxing product from your local chemest or drug store waxing can be done on the face as well as removing pubic hair: It's a fairly cheap process and can be done in the comfort of your own home... sugaring or waxing is the best way to go:; Good Luck girls.

it's using thread in a way to "sweep" the top layer of skin. it's just basically pulling the hairs out. It hurts like hell but it's a good solution. especially for eyebrows and upperlip. i wouldn't recommend it for anywhere else cos it takes too long

My problem is i sweat alot under the arms and even though there is no smell its very embarassing when there's this big wet patch on sleeves and stuff. I have no idea what to do. Deoderants don't help at all. I've tried at least 9 different brands, including sticks, roll-ons, crystals and powder. Nothing works.

Hey. I had no idea so many people had these kind of problems. I'm Indian, and therefore pretty hairy, but i've found that waxing helps a lot. I wax my underarms, arms, legs and upper lip. If you're afraid of pain sugaring, which is basically natural waxing, hurts a lot less but has the same effect. It works very well. As far as long pubic hair is concerned trimming once in a while is pretty sufficient. tampering with the natural course in that area is a little frightening.

i found that bleachin helped make hair less noticebale and tanning. if the hair on ur arms bother you, lighten the hair and with a tan it looks great. also hair lightening on the face works, or has anybody heard of nads? this is a all natural product like wax, its green and a woman made it for her daughters who had similar problems. hair takes longer 2 grow back and is much finer.

I had a terrible body odour, I tried everything, really everything. Deodorants just made it worse, especially if you missed it one day. Plus I was told they were not healthy. I also used crystals, and natural oils, and well...everything. I am so happy I finally found something that works, my sister lead me to this, no smell, and you can miss a day, it does not stain clothing and it reduces sweating, and best of all, no smell....So you want to know...of course you do....you wont beleive this....BAKING SODA. I got some nice organic stuff, and I just put a small amount of cream on my finger(just enough to moisten them) then dip them in the baking soda and put it generously on my armpits. I was thinking about mixing a bit of cream with baking soda to make it easier, but have not had a chance yet. I have not had a smelly armpit for months even though I am biking everywhere.
