I have lived in many countries around the world amd i have seen many ways that parents choose to discipline thier kids. Fro my personal observations I feel that the only thing you should never do is hit your child in public. Momas and Dads please control whatever adremilin that is russig through you don't use physical force on the child it is very demoralising.

my son, 11yrs old has never embarrassed me by mis behaving in public. Ofcourse I am reliving my childhood along with him, by giving him a good company, what ever he may do, play, draw or if he is upto any mischief I also act as his best friend by guiding him how to be naughty and at the same time without harming any one( Iam sure everyone listens to his best friend).Admit to your child that you can also be on the wrongside of the matter. Problem what ever may be listen carefully and solve peacefully. child develops a special bond with you.
