Hi, I'm going to India during my second trimester (18th week). I will fly from Delhi to Hyderabad and then from Hyderabad to Orissa. I was wondering if all the air travel is safe. Also, the airports are around 2 hours by road from the main city. If the road travel safe? Will the bumps hurt the baby? Please let me asap so that I can cancel my travel plans. Thanks!!!

I am a gynecologist and would recommend that you avoid travelling at all costs till the 12 th week. Then as the article says its ok to travel till 6 weeks before due date. However if you are choosing a relaxed holiday do try to avoid those harsh body massages as thet tend to exert too much pressure and is not healthy for the mother and baby .
