my Husband & I have been trying to get pregnant for 6 1/2 yrs. We have had every test u can imagine. Incl. Histosalpingograms, HCG, FSH, LH, TSH levels and many, many pelvic exams. After a D&C in 2002, our baby girl Bethany, we have seen many reproductive specialists, OB/GYN's, read books, internet stuff and pamplets. We've gone through 2 IUI and 7 months of Clomid and 1 month of extremly expensive FSH and HCG meds. The reason, I have a low FSH and LH level. Meaning my eggs won't grow but i have alot of them. And because of that, i am running out. Simular to menopause. I also have Hypothyroidism and Epilepsy and possibly PCOS they say. Doctors couldn't diagnose it earler because they did'nt test for the right thyroid problem. Suggestion, have them test ALL of your thyroid!! ESP. if ur overweight. Good luck- Hope it happens 4 u. Hi, I am also trying to get pregnant. There's a lot of things we could do before trying to conceive. 1st, do a blood test on Toxoplasma, Rubella, CMV, TORCH and Herves. These are all viruses. Your O & G should know this. If blood test result in positive for one of the viruses, cure it. Then, try this method to know your ovulation time, it's called Mucus Method. Try look into the internet. This is our first month ttc...we had sex the last day of my period because i am so late. then we did every other day from there out, 27, 29, 31, jan 2, 4. I ov on the 5th so we had sex then and will today and then on the 8...I recommend that. I will see if it worked :)

I am very touched by the pleas for help on this message board. I would like to offer some comfort not advice. Miscarriages happen for many reasons and they are not the mother's fault.Often a feeling of "was it something I did to cause it" takes a place in your grieving process.This is a normal human reaction.It is important to look after yourself when you are pregnant and to eat a healthy balanced diet. Don't smoke or be in smokey atmospheres.These are good things to do for both you and your baby.Attend regular check -ups at the midwife or Doctors and dont be afraid to ask questions or ask for advice. No matter how well we look after ourselves miscarriages do happen sometimes with no medical explanation. To grieve for your unborn child is natural and will always be in your heart but your life goes on. When i lost my baby ,she was 1 month old and i was obsessed with wanting a child. Eventually I got myself a hobby to take my mind off babies and i fell pregnant. Take time to heal yourself, grieve for your baby,seek some counseling or talk to your partner or a close friend about your feelings. Also try to occupy your mind with something light hearted and creative,painting or dough modelling,it can be therapeutic for body and mind. I hope my few words have encouraged you to take heart and know that whatever will be, will be...God bless you all.
