I have a 13 year old lovely daughter, and though I am going thru all the pains having a teenage daughter, it is a fantastic time to see the way she is growing up and to remember all my days as a teenager. My suggestion to parents is that let them grow up naturally and you just sit back and enjoy these great days, be there for them whenever they need you and the most important thing to remember'BE THEIR BEST FRIEND'

i am lucky to have a 15 yr old daughter who confides in me. this may be partly because she is an only child, and i am thus her confidant. if there had been a sibling (esp. a sister) she may have been her confidant. all i can say is that encourage your child to tell you everything, even if it gets boring sometimes - as that is when you get to know what is happening in her life!

The boundaries set by Rhea's mother is ok. But is there any guarantee that Rhea will abide by her advice and meet her boyfriend only when other friends are around. One cannot be sure. I think the girl should be given liberty to meet him alone and learn for herself what is right or wrong in a relationship. But she can take this step only when she is sure that her boyfriend is thoroughly gentle.

we have a open talking time with my 15 year old , where she knows the rules ,but somehow she still broke the rule about teen boys in the house , ground , no cell phone , we are hoping she has learned . oh did i state she called us to tell on herself .

I think that was great advice. Being a teenager I agree with the mothers decision. My mother recently gave me the same boundaries and they worked out great. I think things might be alittle different here in America. But i still agree.
