My husband believes in giving a child one name and calling him that . For example I am going to name my son who is due in Jan Akhil and not Akhilesh as we will always find a reason to shorten it to the latter . So short and sweet names that are made up 2-3 syllables are ideal . Also for those living in outside home country , name your child in a way ppl of the state can pronounce . Ideally names that westerners can pronounce . Really people make such ridicules of mine and my hubby's names that are quite long . We have given our selves short and easy to pronounce nick names and we both detest it .
