Long distance runners are famous for well-developed legs and then all of that stops at the waste. If your body is entirely balanced and symmetrical, it can be very beneficial for your health. Carrying stuff during a run is something that runners will try to avoid. Personal preference plays a large role in this decision. But, you can help your body avoid overuse injuries by toning your upper body. You don't want to add serious mass, and simple body weight exercises will work for this. When you do these exercises, you will add variety to your weekly workout routines. You will be more resistant to injury, and your body will be stronger, once you start exercising in this way. NFL Authentic Jerseys The upper torsos of long-distance runners are usually not that great, even though their legs are well developed. Keeping asymmetrical and balanced body has many benefits as you probably know. Most runners will not want to do anything that adds more weight to carry. Making this decision is a personal preference issue. But, you can help your body avoid overuse injuries by toning your upper body. Instead of adding serious mass, you could do toning exercises that only work with your body weight. When you do these exercises, you will add variety to your weekly workout routines. It won't hurt a thing and will only make your body stronger and more resistant to injury. NFL Throwback Jerseys

In regards to projectile vomiting: I was told that it is never normal, if it is truly projectile (if it is, you will know it...it resembles the eruption of a geyser or the abrupt turning on of a fire hose). It is generally a condition known as reflux, though there is a small chance of it being another condition that requires a simple surgical procedure (I can remember the term right now, sorry). It should definitely be checked out by a physician. If it is reflux, mild cases might be controlled by a combination of changing formula, feeding in a more upright position, introducing solids if age allows for this, and perhaps some antacids as prescribed. More severe cases may need a course of low dose erythromyecin which helps control the way food moves through the digestive system...this is what doctors gave my son. Both of these conditions often pop up around 4-6 weeks of age. Many cases will clear up by six months (my son's did), or when solids are introduced and baby spends more time upright. Some last up to a year or longer. All cases need to be evaluated by your doctor. Some simple tests may be done to rule out the necessity of surgical intervention. Do NOT risk letting your baby get dehydrated or malnutritioned...call the doctor NOW. Other symptoms (besides projectile vomiting) for reflux mimic those of colic, such as fussiness or inconsolable crying with no apparent reason. Also, babies with reflux may feed more often in an attempt to soothe themselves and replenish nutrients. I hope this helps!

There are a lot of questions here & few answers. I believe that "normal" is a lot of different things for infants. I read that green stools could be a difficulty with lactose. Breastfed babies that get too much foremilk can have troubles. Make sure your baby nurses for longer than 5 to 10 mins to make sure he gets the hindmilk.

To all the first time mums concerned about their baby's bowel movements, relax. Exclusively breastfed babies can do lots of BMs a day or once every few days or anything in between. It's normal. If you are breasfeeding your newborn baby, you don't really need to give anything extra. The mustard seed BM are also normal. Black poo is probably not normal and should be checked out. Babies on solids have BMs affected by the food they eat. Also, UNLESS recommended by a doctor, young babies and infants under 2 shouldn't really need a vitamin/iron supplement.Hope this helps - mum of two

Hi! My duaghter is 3 months old in a week. SHe has had diahrea for 8 days. I have seen the doctor twice each time the Dr says that as long as I am feeding him regularily it is ok. But I am very worried because she turns red in the face and strains a lot even though her bowel movements are very watery and mucous like, yellowish green in colour. Black stool is *never* normal except for the very first stool right after the baby is born. After that, black stool usually means blood and you need to contact the doctor immediately!

Good advice from a General Practitioner friend: put some raisins (pref. organic), into a bottle, pour boiling water over them, leave to cool, then push them through a sieve, give baby the juice in a bottle. This really does work!!

Just wanted to let you all know my experiences with my 3 month old daughter. She was strictly breastfed for about 2 months and had the "normal" mustard seed BM's almost every diaper change. Now she is mostly formula fed and has a BM ever 2-3 days consistently. They are dark green and blue and fairly thick. Although she sems very uncomfortable and strains alot she quickly gets over the ordeal. She has been given a clean bill of health but every baby is different. As a parent if you are concerned about something take your child to a doctor. dont necessarily go on the experiences of other people.

My son is 11 weeks old and is formula fed. He has pooped one huge one a day for weeks and just today it was slightly watery and mustard seedy in colour. Normally it's brownish green and pastey. Anyone have any clue what's going on? Has anybody been through this before so I could know if I should call his doc. I called Telehealth ontario and they said not to worry about it and just monitor him. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. thx

My baby started with enfamil w/ iron which made her stool yellow seedy with a brown & red mix all together. This milk was making her go 10 to 15 times a day. The doctor changed the milk to pro sobee milk & now she's only going 3 times a day & the brownish red mixture is gone. Do you think my babies stool is back normal?

This is to Avamommy, you might try gently massaging babys' belly to loosen things up a little bit. I hope this place will be a helpful place where people will hear and gain knowledge from hearing of others' expieriences. I think it is good for new mothers esspecialy but, really for all mothers to have several resources to obtain a diverse selection to turn to. To speak of any obsticles overcome, or to hear some one with the same problem or concern may be if nothing else reasuring to them.

Occasionally mothers that do use cloth diapers with rubber pants will find a roundish type, pinkish coloured stain right at the seat area of their baby's rubber pants. This is a sign of a runny bowel movement and although the staining cannot be removed, it is a good indication that the child is getting fed properly.
