Comment:
The child does many such house hold activities in the Montessori Preschool Environment. It is called the practical Life area and is the first area a child touch bases with when he joins a Montessori school. Exercises such as washing tables or windows, polishing, tonging and introduced to the child which help enhance his gross motor skills as well as fine motor skills. Eg. When the child tweezes beads, he holds the tweezers with a pincer grip which is the way he will eventually hold a pen. Just some info for you moms out there!
