Name: Archie Country: India Comment: And here we (husband and self) felt guilty sending our daughter, who's just 2 years 5 months old. We thought that she is too young to join nursery, but her 'josh' at going to school 'coz she sees her her elder brother off to his school made it a little bit easy for us. Name: Ajay Jain Country: India Comment: This is happening in a country where the illiteracy rate is high. I am one of the parents doing the rounds of school my child is about to complete 3 years. But you know my son is not eligible for admission in few of the good schools. Why? The admission into that school is between 14 months to 2.5 years. Yes can you believe to my horror after most of the parents standing in queues from morning 5am till 10am and then you are told that you are not eligible to even fill up the forms. Almost more 500 hundred parents were sent back. The school does not even put on the notice board when is the date for filling up the forms and the age criteria. and they claim all admissions are full. Is it because of the donations ??? How can a school complete its admission procedure without giving everybody a fair chance to fill up the forms. This happened on one of the so called good school in South Mumbai near Jaslok hospital on 7th January 2008. I wonder something can be done legally about the admission procedure like in Delhi.
