Name: please help me Country: India Comment: I have a wrougt iron bed (not the bedhead only as we come across in uk/usa or other western countries , but the base and the frame is of wrought iron too). Here,in India,as far my knowledge goes, it doesn't come with the storage box attached beneath it as we get in wooden beds. How cam I get a decent underbed storage attached to it?As my bedroom is very small I can't keep a box-ike thing under the bed and spread a long bedsheet on the bed to hide it. I know it will look odd and crampy. Is there any such wrought iron bed with under storage in the market? Name: Radhika Country: india Comment: Sagarika, Its a usual problem with every house that space is not enough to keep all the stuff we have. Frankly speaking , I would say that any item which one has not even bothered to use or check for the past six-eight months, should be out of the house as its quite certain that we will not be using them for another one year from now. This cleaning up if done, will save lots and lots of free space. Also, can look for vertical stands and racks with ample storing compartments to save space , rather than big long storage compartments. Beds with fitted cupboards would ease the problem of storing mattresses, pillows, bedsheets etc. Name: XYZ Country: india Comment: You can build wall to wall selving in your living room if you can afford it. The upper part can be used to display items and the lower half can be used for storage. The upper half is usually covered with glass and the lower half is enclosed with sliding wooden doors. You could use the convertible sofa for your living room, that acts like sofa during the day and can be pulled open to convert to a bed during the night time. Get a TV stand that has storage area in the lower part. Attics are a great place to store stuff if you have one. Get plenty of boxes, containers, paper holders to put things in order. The key to a small space and more room is to get organised, stack all the books in a row, put the papers together, place all the pens, scissors and other like stuff in a container instead of having them in ten different locations. Also get rid of stuff that you haven't used in the last 5-6 years, the chances are that you probably will not use it in the future. Use plenty of lighting and mirrors to give an illusion of more space. Name: SSV Country: Other Comment: Have racks fixed on walls. This is really helpful in storing lot of items, like medicines etc. Even it can escape from children if any.
