Thanks for a very useful article, the best I read! I completely makes sense and describes my situation: I have lots of milk, my 1 month old baby feeds NON-STOP (and started having green stool and colic)and, following standard advice, I've been changing breasts with every feed: that's what I've been doing wrong!

Fantastic! Sums me up - Dairy cow with excessive fast flowing milk, gassy baby. I will try this advice and hopefully things will become less green!!

Green stools can also result from a food allergy/sensitivity...i.e. dairy products in moms diet (dairy is the most common offender). Other high allergy foods include nuts, eggs, corn, wheat... so this also should be a consideration. It can take 2-3 weeks to get the allergen out of your system.
