| INGREDIENTS | 300gms boiled potatoes
2tbsp poppy seeds(khas khas)
1tsp ginger grated
1-2 bay leaves
1 dry red chilli
a pinch of asfoetida(hing)
1/2 tsp carrom seeds(ajwain)
1tsp turmeric powder
1-2 pcs green chillies slited
salt to taste
1 tsp sugar
1tsp ghee
2tbsp oil | METHOD | Cut boiled potatoes medium-sized diced shape.Heat 1tbsp oil in a pan and stir fry the potatoes and salt and a pinch of turmeric powder while frying.Soak poppy seeds in water for 15 minutes.Drain water and make a coarse paste.Heat oil in another pan.Add bay leaves and dry red chillies,asfoetida and carrom seeds.Add green chillies and ginger and saute for a few seconds.Add poppy seeds paste and turmeric powder and cook for 2 minutes on low flame.Now add the potatoes and mix it well with the paste.Add salt and sugar and cook for 5 minutes.Add ghee and serve hot with rice or chappatis. |
