MUSHROOM BIRIYANI Recipe | Main Course Recipe by Kalpana Sarang |
| INGREDIENTS | (1) Button Mushrooms - 1 pkt (2) Basmati Rice Half Cooked - 1/2 kg (3) Green Chillies - 2 (4) Ginger,Garlic Paste - 1 tsp (5) Ghee (OPt), Oil - as required (6) Bay leaf, Cloves, Cinnamon, Cardamom, Dried Rose petals - 2 each (8) Briyani Masala(any brand) - 1 tsp (9) Turmeric Powder - 2 pinch (10) Red Chilly Pwdr - 1/2 to 1 tsp (11) Coriander Pwdr - 1 tsp(12) Coriander & Mint leaves (12) Salt to Taste | METHOD | Heat the heavy bottom Pan or Electric rice cooker.
Add Oil, when it is hot add all the items of (6) and slightly fry.
Add the small onion cut into two halves.
Fry gently and now add the green chilles and ginger-garlic paste and fry till raw smell is gone.
Add the tomato and turmeric, chilly, briyani and Coriander powder and Saute’ well on a low flame.
When the oil ooses out add the Cleaned Mushrooms and fry for 1 min.
Add the Half cooked Basmati rice and adequate salt for the dish and mix gently without breaking the rice.
Leave it until it is cooked and masala is blend with rice, inbetween mix gently.
Garnish with Coriander and Mint leaves and Serve Hot with any Raita..
