I have a girl child and she always wants to ware like a boy and she is just 2.5 years old. In any function may be diwali, marriage or her b'day she always wants to ware the same patter. We faced lot of problem due to this, many a times a embarassing situation. But could not do anything. Then we started giving her choices and puts only the clothes which really suites her. As written in the article this really worked in my case. My child realy enjoys freedom.
