After dying my hair a DARK red/burgundy/brown, i bleached my hair and sun ined it 4 times in a weeks a half. needless to say my hair was cut to an inch in length asap. I let it grow out and bleached it on my own. everything went well (kept the hair short didn't hurt) and a family member offered to pay for salon quality color since i looked like a 2 year old and a blind man were trying to collaborate on a uniform color. so i went to this salon, she fixed my hair in line .2 and even became my bext freind. My roots were appx 3-4 inches long, and i had an appointment to see her in 3 days but, she had a temper tantrum with her car, crashed it, and i refuse to ever go to her again. I dyed it back to brown two months and a new colorist later but the paroblem was her co-woker stole one of my checks and tried to cash it. needless to say, between psycho and the economy, my problem is i want it naturally lightened (now light brwon and length to my elbows) but dont know what i cant put in to help it out in the sun. Just some tips I found and hope work for you and me!!! =] HAIR GROWTH -Rosemary tea (drink it) -healthy diet so you get your vitamins THICKER/STRONGER HAIR -1/2 cup of rosemary leaves with 1 cup of water added to your shampoo -egg yolk in wet hair for a few minutes then wash out with COLD water..... warm water cooks the egg. MESSY!!! -mayonaise in hair for 10 minutes then wash out and rinse with shampoo!!! Thats all I got for now. Hope these help. I'm hoping they help me too!!! ok here are some good tips for you, from a prof. Hair stylist. The best way to treat damaged hair is to apply a fortifying treatment or repair conditioner on hair at night, put a head cap over your hair and leave on all night the heat from your head will help the repair process you should do this two to three times a week I recomend anything by Matrix Biologe. A really good Repair cream is BONACURE Hair rescue you can get this at most salons it works soooooo good I used it for my highlighted hair. Mayo actually does work but smeels really nasty and can make your hair oily if not done right. Only wash your hair every other day or every two days and use coditioner leave on atleast 5 min. ( use cond. overnight on nights you don't wash your hair) Don't ever brush hair when wet!!! This will break it and before blow drying always use a heat styler. As far as growth yes Vitamins can and will help but don't be fooled by Hair vitamins they are no differant then any other I use Shaklee Vitamins and minerals they work great for hair skin and nails. It takes some time for major repair but you can help your hair dramatically Good luck to all of you!

ok from my experience. mayonnaise makes your hair silky soft. i do it like twice a month also egg will make your hair silk and healthy too. if you just get about two eggs well depending on how long your hair is well you take the egg and put it in a small bowl or cup then scramble, when the egg is mixed apply the egg to hair all around. after the egg is on tie hair in a bun and let sit for about an hour. if the egg is not dry leave until so. then shower or rinse. DO NOT RINSE WITH HOT WATER!!!!! if you do it will cook the egg. i did it and it was horrible getting egg out. also brush hair every night 100 strokes. thats all i know of.

Okay.. what i found that works really good for me. For straight shiny hair (because mines thick and curly), use Herbal Essences Rejuvinating Shampoo and Conditioner (Blackberry and Avacado scent). Put AVEDA Hanf Straight on your hair (not too much or it makes it greasy). Then, when drying your hair, break it into smaller sectionsof 4 or 5. Dry it with a round brush. Then straighten it (A straightener by ConAir works the best), and repeat. When whole head is done, restraighten it. Then spray with Herbal Essences Hairspray. Your hair should feel alot thinner and easier to work with. Also, its really straight!!! Good Luck

Putting your hair up in a pont tail can thin your hair out because when you put your in that pony tail it is pulling on the hairs. This is how I keep my curly fizzy hair straight. If I do it my self I apply a hair polisher/hair shinner with aloe while it's still wet. I blow dry by sections then go over it with a flat iorn. If I go to my hair dresser she sets me in big rollers puts me under the dyer the will blow dry my hair out. For me I think this is the best way because when she is done it is super soft,it's shinny,it has great body and you would never know that my hair is curly and frizzy. Hope this helps!!

I have advise on curly hair!!! My hair is naturally curly and frizzy. When I want to wear it in it's natural state I use anything I can to wiegh down the curls and tame the fizz. First I'll leave conditioner in it then put mousse in it then I also add gel. After that long process I then blow dry. It takes a while sometimes but it works for me. The curls keep the shape without frizzing.

Hello to all of you frustrated young ladies. Like yourselves I am trying to grow my hair long- waist length, after losing 60% of it from May 2001 to March 2002. I went through psoriasis and balding(after the birth of my son in March of 2001). In March of 2002, it finally grew to 1/2 inch,and I was able to cut the it all down to one length- 1/2 inch. Today, it is growing out very nicely in layers and is very healthy. By April my hair should be bra length. Enough about me here are some tips for you and some good websites: 1) Dry hair does not need to be shampooed everyday. Once a week should be plenty-regardless of your ethnicity. Overshampooing is why one will develop fly away hair. 2) Oil can be used for dry hair. I use a mixture of coconut oil, jojoba oil, rosemary oil and lavender for smell. Coconut oil in particular makest the hair very strong. Be careful on the jojoba oil as it can make your hair too soft. Use coconut oil as a base. 3) Split ends can only be eradicated by cutting them. In addition, hair is like the skin- it dries out. So rub a little oil on your ends several times a week- this prevents ends from drying and splitting. 4) Teasing and back combing is bad for the hair, especially for the ends. Don't do it! You are only asking for split ends. 5)Keep your ends trimmed regularly. I trim mine once every 8 weeks-I cut off 1/8th of an inch. 6) Be careful of ponytail holders that will pull on the hair in addition to clips, and bobbie pins- as they will cause split ends. 7) Throw your brush away if you are a brush junkie. Too much brushing will cause your hair to thin and dull. I know from experience. I used to brush my hair excessively as a teen. 8) Diet is extremely important to the growth of your hair. If you are not eating properly make sure you take a multi-vitamin. Your hair also needs vitamin E and Zinc. I use a hair vitamin called Great Hair. 9) Hair on average grows 1/2 each month. However, if your ends are breaking at the same rate that your hair is growing then you will think that your hair is not growing which is not true. 10) Be gentle with your hair as it is dead. 11) Comb your hair from the ends, and use your fingers to get the knots out. If you start from roots to end you will catch every knot on your way down and your hair will break. 12) Be patient. Hair needs TIME to grow. Estimate 6 inches per year. In 3 years you will have about 15 inches (minus the 3 inches that you have trimmed). Hope this helps someone. This will take you to the Haircare center where you find a lot of information about hair care. I have never tried any of their recipes- so proceed at your own risk!

Just a couple of suggestions. At 47 years of age, i still have acne. I have found that keeping your hands clean and away from your face REALLY helps. I have also found that using Clinique's "spot healing gel" works REALLY well. My hair is fine and somewhat straight. I use KMS hair thickening cream togther will a good mouse. To keep a curl, i use velco rollers (in a variety of sizes). While my hair is a little damp, i roll my hair, spray the roots with hair spray or root lifter. Remove rollers once hair is totally dry. Good luck!!!

these answers are simple. rogain for falling out hair, deep condtioner and defrizzer cream for frizze hair, head and sholders for dandruff, pantine pro-v for curley straight dry color treated etc. they make menny. and if your hair is gray dont be too afraid to color it just read the directions on the box or get it done profeshoonally and deep condition it 1-2 times a week. use baking soda for build up. saint ives apricot scrub gets rid of dull skin, and gets rid of some blackheads and whightheads,physoderm does a four way face treatment. olive oil works for deep conditioning etc....
