Aloha, I had two ectopic pregnancy I am 38 now I had my first one last year and the secound this year...I never thought I could pregnant been with my husband for 2 1/2 yrs and so only now am I seeking IVF. in 2001 i found out i was pregnat. i was 3 months i had claymidia thats a STD that can get u pregnat well thats how it happend and well i took some pills that lasted 5 days. well before that the dr. told me that i could have a miscarrage well i did i was 41/2 months pregnat and i did have a miscarage and after that i never got pregnat and so i've been trying for years now now we're in 2008 and still no baby this year i found out there might be a posibility i might get pregnat because i found out i was born with 2 falopian tubes one is regular sized but the other on my right side is not fully developed and that means(the other is just cut off) there nothing to do just to wait i feel sad and i ask myself WHY... why do other people have baby's and i don't some people kill there kids,leave them in the cars on hot days, some are sexual abused from there own family, some are beaten ,and then to some of them there are in a good invierment i just wanted to say what i felt

I have read everyone's comments. It feels comforting to know that I am not alone in all of this. I have been trying for five years to get pregnant. Even though I have an eight year old, I to desperately want to give him a brother or sister. I had a HSG done three days ago. It was the most devastating thing to find out that it was because of me that we were not getting pregnant. Both of my tubes are blocked due to the fact that I caught chlamydia while having an iud inserted in me. The Dr. is saying that my only option is IVF. Sometimes I feel like western medicine is quite hopeless when it comes to these thing. They don't give you any further options other than that one. They don't give you a choice. I am on the other hand hopeful. I am hopeful that God has given me the power to heal myself. We are by the way god like creature, created in his own image. Our bodies heal themselves everyday. If you believe that this is possible than you have to believe that you are able to heal your tubes. What the doctors say is not final. I believe that God has provided everything that we need to fulfill our life. We just have to know where to look for it. If you ask for your healing than he will show you where to go for that healing. I will have that seed of faith and will not give up. We should all pray for one another only in this prayer can it be seen.

The doctor ordered an HSG whit is a small tub inserted into the tubes through the vagina. They found the blockage and removed it with a laser. Six (6) years ago, i experienced a ruptured ectopic pregnancy and i undergo an operation, they cut my right fallopian tube. During my operation, my Ob-gyne discovered that my left fallopian tube was closed cause I have my operation since I was only 6 months old. My Ob-gyne opened it. I thought i still have a chance to be getting pregnant. Last 2 years ago sometime on March 2005 we decided to see our Ob-gyne just to undergo an insimination, that's why I undergo a lot of laboratory to check if it is still okey for me to get pregnant because of my age at that time coz I am almost 40 years old, then when the result came out she said it is still okey for me to get pregnant.So she gave me a medication for fertility and my husband undergo a sperm count, the result is all normal. But after a month still i didn't get pregnant. So she suggest to see my left fallopian tube, so i undergo another laboratory that can be seen in the monitor and at the same time has a film to show what was happening inside. Not knowing that the passage of my fallopian tube is too small and it cannot pass the sperm cell. So my Ob-gyne advised to cut my left fallopian tube and after that undergo an insimination but it may done in Hongkong, and she estimated that it will cost us Php 800,000.00 for operation only. But we didn't accept that advised because of financial reasons. So I hope that you could give me some advised for this matter. I know you can still concieve even if you only have one of your fallopian tube, wether one is blocked and the other isn't or one is removed or, the other is intact. A friend of mines got pregnant with only one fallopian tube intact, she had one removed as it was blocked. Her son is now twp years going on three. And I have heard alot of people who got pregnant with only one tube If both fallopian tubes are blocked then your not likely to get pregant, as the sperm can not meet the eggs if both tubes are blocked.

for those that don't know if they have blocked tubes or not go and see your Dr. so they can refer you for a HSG Test - that is where dye is injected in your cervix and then the report will be able to tell you whether your tubes are blocked or not. If one of your tubes are blocked you can still fall pregnant. IVF is said to be the best possible way of falling pregnant although many women have fallen pregnant either naturally or by other options such as fertility treatment. Time is the biggest problem for most women but in the meantime, prepare your body to be healthy so that when you are finally blessed it will lessen any complications that may come your way.

I have had two ectopic pregnancy within the past two years. both my tubes were removed during laporsopy. to anwers some of the question I've read.Yes you can still get pregant with one functioning tube. your chances are 50,50, which is good I got pregant with only one tube.No you can noe save a ectopic pregnancy because the is no way to remove the egg and implaint where it needs to be,and even if this could be done you would not want that baby because deveolment has already gone wrong.IVF is a safe process that should be looked into. It can be costly but some insurance does cover it.Ivf is just taking the place of intercruse. there is nothing wrong with it and many people have done it, and is still doing it.It would have been my next stop. however a took a pregancy test today and it was positve. hello my name is tammy i had my tubes tied after my daughter was born in august if 1988.i remarried in october of 2000. my new husband doesnt have any children ,i had my tubes untied in august 2001-to find out they could only repair my left tube.i endedup pregnant in december the same year only for it to tubel pregnancey,which landed me in the hospital to have it removed.i end up pragnant again in december the following year just to have a miscarrige ,i had a dye test to find out i have a blockage. does anyone really know if a lapaoscope to have the scare tissue removed will work -what are my chances are? Please can anyone give some addvice-every time i start my period i my husband cries .i just dont know which way to turn ,if i cant get this fixed i just cant contue the pain i'm causing my husband he deserves to be happy . Ladies, In Dec 2003, I got a tubal reversal of only one tube. About 7 weeks ago, I got pregnant, but it was ectopic. Last week, I had to get a laproscopy done to extract baby from tube. I am recooperating and sore. My husband and I are sad. Sounds like we will have to get a dye test next. If it is blocked, I don't know if we want to full with another laprocopy - to unblock it. No more pain please! I'm thinking we'll do IVF. Hope my insurance pays for it, because I used my savings on the first surgery. Is God trying to tell me something??? Maybe it's not the right time (???)

I am having the same problem you all are having. I have been trying for 3 years and no luck. I went to the dr. and he gave me metformin to take everyday and prednisone to take on cycle days 1-12 and Clomid to take on cycle days 3-12. Im suppose to have my HSG done next month because now he thinks that my tubes maybe blocked... It really gets depressing after a while but I do have faith in god... He knows whats best!
