Lime or lemon juice(lemon more effective than lime), turmeric, honey, tamarind are natural bleach. Any of these can be used as a lightening agent(to get fairer complexion) drink 10 glasses of water with any of the followin recipes. You need to do this for atleast 15 days to see the effect. 1) Make a paste by mixing 1 tablespoon honey with 2 tablespoon powdered almonds and ½ teaspoon lemon juice. Rub on the face then wash with warm water. 2) Apply grated white radish or its juice for fairer complexion. 3)Mix 1 spoon of yogurt with a pinch of haldi and apply on face. 4) Rub gopichandan stick on your face and wash off after it dries. 5) Take 4 almonds and soak them overnight. Using milk grind them and make a very fine paste. Before going to bed apply this paste on the neck and face. Next morning wash with cold water. Repeat daily for 15 days. Then follow up twice a week. This is also an excellent protein mask. 6) Grate a tomato and add 2-3 drops of lime juice. Apply on face and neck. Rinse it off after 20 minutes. Do this morning and evening for 15 - 20 days 7) For oily skin - Apply a mixture of equal amounts of lemon and cucumber juice on the face . Leave it for 15 minutes and wash off. 8) For dry skin - Apply a mixture of equal amounts of cucumber juice and honey on the face . Leave it for 15 minutes and wash off ----------------------------- Avoid exposing your skin to direct sunlight. Use any good sunblock while going out. Drink plenty of clean water regularly. Watch your diet. Include healthy fruits and vegetables. Wash your face to keep it clean. Use some good skin whitening cream. Lemon juice with a bit of yogurt once a day is an excellent mild bleach. Use turmeric: grind up "face turmeric" with olive oil and chickpea flour Cut a lemon into 2 halves. Rub it gently on your face and neck. Wash it after 10-20 minutes. Doing it regularly will cleanse your skin. Using masks made from flour, or finely ground grams [pulses], can make your skin shine. Just add some milk, apply on skin and wash after 15 minutes. Milk is a natural skin whitener. Apply milk on your face. Wash it after some time. Skin-whitening creams can damage the skin if left on for too long, so use with discretion. While using any cosmetic product, if you feel irritation in skin, stop using it. Always prefer good skin products. Do not use products containing hydroquonine. It has long-term health effects.

hi i found the stillmans freckle cream in a specialty indian store in NYC while visiting family. its cheap. like 6 dollars. Does it really contain mercury and bismuth?? there is no information on the internet about Stillmans. So i am kind of sceptical.but it does sure work. i had a huge scar on my cheek from acne and after a few nights of use...my scar has faded. so it definatly lightens skin.

Hey girls, Just wanted to add a comment about the effects of using the so called 4 cream which includes betnovate, arche, fair and lovely and stillman's. Betnovate used over long periods triggers the hair follicles and causes an increases rate of hair growth. You will notice women in Pakistan/India who have been using this cream whill have substantially more facia;l hair apposed to somebody who hasn't used this cream. I would honestly advise anyone who wants to use it firstly not to and if they really want to then don't mix the betnovate in it.

What i did was there is this new injection that will make you about 4-6 shade lighter then you are now. But just let you guys know it's very costly about $13,500 Singapore dallor. But i think is worth the money, because it sure help me with my self esteem. I think fair people get more out of life then darker people. I spent a great deal in the sun and my skin turned dark. I've tried many of the home remedies and none of them worked. It has been about 5 years now of staying out of the sun. hi there This works on if you want to lose 1/2 or 1 shade. Wash your face after you've been in the sun and become noticeable darker. Take a vitamin b complex supplement, it must have b3. Make a paste of tumeric, yellow food colouring, fair and lovely cream, and ponds perfect colour complex. Leave on for 2 hours, have a sleep or something while you wait. Drink lots of water. They remove tan and make your skin fairer. (Note that lemon juice is more effective than lime juice for getting fair complexion). Cucumber juice can be applied on dry as well as oily skin to get fair complexion. To make cucumber juice, grate cucumber (with skin) (kaddukash) and squeese it. Only 1/2 to 1 teaspoon is sufficient for a single application. Drink 10 glasses of water daily. Try the following pastes, mixtures or scrubs, if done daily, you will see a difference in about 10 days. These fair complexion remedies are also good for small babies. All the mixtures, pastes and scrubs should be prepared freshly as they do not kkep for a long time. Apply a mixture of equal amounts of lemon juice and honey on the face and whole body. Leave it for 15 minutes and wash off. Apply a mixture of equal amounts of lemon and cucumber juice on the face and whole body. Leave it for 15 minutes and wash off. If your skin is dry, use honey and lemon juice. First scrub your face with cucumber slices and then apply cucumber juice (with skin on cucumber) to your face, leave it there overnight and wash in the morning. Apply a gram flour (besan) and turmeric (haldi) paste. After sometime when it dries, scrub it off gently. This would gradually reduce body hair over a period of time. Apply yogurt to the face. hi all, firstly, its not important to be fair in that having a dark complexition is bad. What is important is having healthy glowing skin as close to your natural skin tone. check the inside of your wrist, thats the skin tone you need to be. saying that, here are sure fire ways to get a better glowing blemish free, smooth compextion. 1. remove fats and sugars from your diet. eat only fresh fruit and veg. no oily stuff. 2. if you have acne, go to a dermatologist, he/she will put you on creams first, if that doesnt work then antibiotics, then hormonal stuff etc, the last resort is a drug called Roaccutane (amazing!!!!!) 3. once you egt that sorted. try to eat healthily and excercise, lose at least 3kgs, build more muscel than fat. 4. Now here is the products you can use. Johnsons ph5.5 fair complextion is really good, apply alot at night. after a few weeks, you skin will look good. ponds perfect colour complex is also good. the best product is called "Enlighten" by Innoxa . all the products will have no side affects. 5. stay out of the sun, even indirect sunlight will cause sun burn/ sun tan. if u cant help geting in the sun, then carry a book with you always to block you face. 6. use a good sun block. but becareful, some sunblocks cause oliy skin and acne. use instead a mositureriser and sunblock (usually spf 15) in one. use a spf 39 sunblock for the back and sides of your neck since thats very vunerable. 7. drink lots of water, believe me it helps. it gets rid of the toxins. 8. get lots of sleep, if u dont get 7 hour of sleep at least, your face will look tired, grey and darker. 9. limit ur stress, it makes you dark and blemishy. dont go on extreme diets either, live healthy, coz you skin needs food as much as you do. lastly, i have done all of the above. i was previously a wheatish complextion, now i am much much much fair but more important i have great skin, it glows, it looks health. i dont want to be white fair i just wanted to have even healthy skin. u have to love you, all of you. by the way, for all of you with skin problems, go to a dermatologist, its fantastic. get a professional to help you. i suffered from acne since puberty. its gone now!!! after 4 months of treatment. it stopped in the second month and my face improved after wards. besides doing that i made an active life change, i lost 7 kg, i started really taking care of myself an concentrated on my studies. If u want to go on roacctunane, its a very serious drug, u will have to go for blood tests and monitor that u dont have too much intake of certain vitamins, listen to your dermatologist, its also very expense, i pay close to R 2500 a month for it. but it was worth it!!!!! all of you who have skin problems,i know how u feel, i was once reading these mail boards a while back and feeling hopeless about the way my skin looked, but just take each day and try to activley change your life style. god bless

Hey everybody, Here r sum simple remedies u cud use: For fair skin:Lemon juice helps. Creams, even though temporary, hev numerous side effects. But the Vicco turmeric cream wurx. But I really wudn't suggest that. Drink water. Atleast 12 glasses a day. If u need a face pack, I suggest a mud pack which lightens ur facial complexion. If u need a good complexion in abt a day-CHEAT!!! Use the Lakme Face Souffle as a base and use the Lakme Compact upon that. It makes the skin abt 2 shades lighter. For skin covered with acne: Multani mitti or fuller's earth face pack for light acne. For acne at a worse level, I wud reccomend that people put some wild turmeric on the pimple. Or use a face pack of Biotique containing wild turmeric. Myristica pack wud b a suitable option too. Lotus Herbals' product-Tea Tree Clarifying face pack with Petit-Grain, Pine and Juniper and Bergamot is pretty effective. But 4 acne at its worst-when I say worst, I mean a heavy breakout, a cream containing Benzoyl Peroxide is recommended. This chemical comes in the form of a cream called pernex containing 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide which is Xtremely effective. but I must warn u, it is strong and must only b used in dire need. And last but not the least, use an oil battling astringent and get rid of those lousy blackheads by exfoliating ur skin for a smooth touch. I just stole a Fair & Lovely cream from a store cuz my parents would kill me if they saw me buying a product which lightens my skin!!! Im in my first week and I can say that it is not working. Hi girls. Being a British Asian, i have tried long and hard not to lighten my skin so much that i lose my identity or be careless of my skin so that i get confused for being of mixed parentage. As much as you hate to hear it, Yes, you should be proud of who you are and your complexion. but nowadays your image does mean alot, I know this, Believe me. the amount of pressure put on us to 'fit in' no matter where we are in the world is never ending. I have used a remedy that doesn't lighten my skin but shows my true colour and adds a warm glow to my complexion. Believe it or not, we do get fair and lovely over here! i find it tends to lighten the skin and dry it out at the same. you dont get lighter it creates a white powdery effect on the face. The fair and lovely soap is much better, or alternatively a neem soap. Rule number 1 in face care is always exfoliate. 2 times a day is preferable. I use neem/fair and lovely or lux soap with a facial buffer sponge that scrubs my face free from germs and gets rid of those blackheads. This is a cheaper solution to purchasing facial scrubs. Always remove make up from your face before you go to sleep. use a toner, cleanser and moisturiser, as the skin tends to dehydrate as we sleep. exfoliate the excess moisturiser in the morning and you will feel like brand new. I have also tried Vicco face cream. I find this works to restore and maintain your natural skin tone. you can use it as the base of your make up also, therefore, no foundation is needed. always deep cleanse your face twice a week before you sleep with a deep cleansing mask. I find fuller earth (multani mitthi) with rose water is perfect for this, no extra ingrediants required. remember your face is the most important and sensitive part of your body, especially if you tend to judge people at face value. This deep cleansing mask is great for preventing pimples and is ideal for acne sufferers. Again drink lots of water as it does help. most of the time when we think we are hungry we are really thirsty. check this by seeing if your lips are dry and cracked at any point of the day. Grab some water and drink till your lips fill out and are plump again. a balanced diet of fresh fruit and veg is important, Dont do the atkins diet and leave out carbs. eat a little bit of everything, and make sure its wholemeal! to reduce facial hair use curd and turmeric (plant) or thread/ wax facial hair, the more you do it the less visible it becomes and from the exfoliating and deep cleansing hair regrowth generally becomes weaker. Most of all love the skin your in, Its not about making it lighter its about keeping it in its natural and best state, the way god made it for you to maintain. remember the more products you use at a young age will affect your skin as you mature and can have adverse effects when you age. To remove the eybags around you eyes, simply cut slices of cucmber, chill in the refrigerator for 5 mins and place upon lids. It also cleans the eyes out by making them water. avoid using concealers and skin lighteners around the eye as the skin will hang in later years. lastly you can wash out a used tea bag until it runs clear. refrigerate this and place upon the lids, it evens out the skin colour of the eyebags to your natural skin tone.
