But Not Too much of Change

But Not Too much of Change

Some babies cry often. For some babies this becomes a habit. They may cry if something is not done according to their needs. Such babies have to be comforted by sticking to a regular schedule.

Be consistent in your care

Some babies are creatures of habit. In the case of such babies, sticking to a regular schedule of feeding, bathing, changing, outings and bedtime is a good idea. Try to be consistent even when it comes to ways in which to soothe and comfort the baby. Once you have found what works, stick to it.

Limit the baby's excitement

A new baby is a thing of joy and excitement. You want to show your baby off and your family and friends want to hold her and play with her. The world is a bewildering experience for new babies full of new sights, sounds, smells, faces and experiences. All this may be a trifle overwhelming for your baby. If your baby has a tendency to cry, try to limit excitement, visitors and stimulation, particularly in the late afternoon and evening.

How to sooth a crying baby?

Here are some more tips to help you take care of your baby, especially when she is crying.
In the very first place you need to understand that crying is the only way she is communicating with you now. There may be many instances when she may cry for no reason and is simply trying to communicate her feelings.
You need not worry as she shall be crying no matter what you do in the initial few weeks.
However, you can always help her soothe and calm down by following some useful tips.
First you must understand the reason why she is crying. You can respond to her cries by picking her up and looking into her eyes. You need to remember she is growing every day and you need to understand her growing needs too. Sometimes, she only needs your reassurance and wants to know you love her.

Sleep patterns of your new born

It is normal for your little one to wake up several times at night for a feed. She shall be able to sleep for longer hours from the 12th week. Some babies may even take longer time to get used to a proper sleeping pattern.
You may want to keep her awake all through the day, so that she sleeps during the night. However, do not force your baby to stay awake or do not feel disappointed if it does not work that way. If you think she needs to nap for some time in the morning, there is no point in keeping her awake. It shall only make her feel worse and she shall get cranky too.
You may choose to feed her to lull her to sleep. Your baby shall wake up frequently for feeds now. This is the way she shall satisfy her brain and body developments.
Rocking, feeding and holding your baby are some of the best ways to help her calm down and sleep. Many parents are known to carry on with these practices till the baby sleeps.
In case you are trying the self-soothing practices to help her sleep on her own, here are the tips you can try:
  • Put her in crib when she is sleepy.
  • Make her familiar with the bed time routines such as a bath, fresh nappy, washed clothes, feed and dim lights.
  • It is important that you keep her in a peaceful and safe environment without stimulating her much. This shall help her feel more comfortable and sleepy.

A little about you

It is very normal if you feel exhausted and tired after all the sleepless nights. Here are some tips that shall make your life easier these days. Take a look:
  1. Sleep when your baby sleeps.
  2. Switch off the phone and enjoy a good nap with your little one.
  3. Do not forget to take good care of yourself. Take as much rest as possible, eat right and also exercise.
  4. Do let go off the tasks that are not that important.
  5. Do not hesitate to ask your relative to see you later when you are tired.
  6. Ask for help if you feel exhausted.
When you have to take care of your baby and keep her happy and healthy it is important for you as well to stay happy and healthy.

Care is something that everyone understands and especially babies. They need utmost care of mothers and everybody around them in the family. So whenever they starts crying all they want is your attention or just being pulled up by their parents.

singing talking and playing with the babby is very good as as noticed the earlier you start talking to the babby the sooner she will talk and bear in mind you should speak clearly as possible so as to develop the child,s speech

when my first baby was born he would cry and fuss a lot. i began to do things like rub his back or even perform a diaper change on him even though he didn't need one and usually that was enough to stop his crying.
