As a remedial / special needs teacher, I prefer to call them difficulties rather than disabilities. Children with dyslexia and other forms of LD face great difficulty in school and often at home too. These difficulties have a wider scope than merely academic issues. To know more about this and to have your questions answered, please connect.
Howdy,
My teacher's path and career in special education started with volunteering in Ghana where I taught kids of all ages. I can share thetermpapers and guides for a first-year special education teacher. It was a camp for English learners and students with disabilities and we had to work 6 months (3 months in the spring semester and 3 months in the fall semester). I got my master's in Special Education at Roosevelt University and started teaching immediately after graduation.
