Embryo donation is adoption in real sense

I feel that embryo donation is a type of adoption. Once the child grows up, he may come to know that he is not the biological child but an adopted one. Will this information not traumatize the kid?

Embryo adoption lies between infertility and the adoption. It is a type of adoption but not in a complete sense. Though a woman has to carry the donated embryo in utereo, but she shares no genetics with it. Still it will be regarded as her own baby as she carried full term.

Agree but it is upto you to keep the secret and lead to a stronger relationship. No one outside your husband and yourself need to know that. Outsiders will not be able to know as you carried the baby full term.

I do not consider this as ‘adoption’ since in real sense the baby has not been given up. There are no biological parents involved who gave the baby up. Moreover there are no legal proceedings also. The woman who had donated embryo invitro must have gone through everything trying to get pregnant.
