    Tips for terrace garden

I have always dreamt of a big garden but here in Mumbai, I find this impossible. Then my friend suggested me terrace garden. I have started making plans for my terrace garden. I want some of your inputs also. If any of you have a terrace garden then I would like to hear from you. How can I beautify my garden?

Hi. It is a good idea to have a green cover right in your terrace. That is the best we can do in a concrete city. I myself am a lover of plants and as I do not have space, started out a terrace garden. Rather than converting the terrace into a garden, I would suggest you to invest in 10 pots each month. In pairs, plant mint, coriander, tomatoes, chillies and any vegetables such as brinjals, beans, potatoes, spinach etc. In 10 months you will have around 120 pots with crops growing in rotation. Each plant takes approximately three months to reach harvest level. I hope you liked my idea.

I personally like roof garden as it is the only way out in cities and gardening relieves stress. Potted plants are ideal for terrace garden as suggested by Kiran. You can enliven your garden corner with rocks and other naturalistic designs. For the soil, get the type that will not exert pressure onto your building. Peat moss and soil rite are good options. Use your own imagination to create an enchanting garden.

I know this isn't the right time to ask this question, but the weather in my region has just started to get cold, so I will still ask my question here. How can I take care of my garden and prepare it for snow and cold temperatures?

If you haven't yet had frost, then you may well have time to save your plants from sudden changes in temperature. I used the tips from this article https://backyard54.com/p/how-to-prep...-for-winter/87 and it really helped me prepare my garden for the winter and cold. I think that such articles are especially useful because I have a checklist of what I need to do and don't miss a single item, so my garden comes to life and begins to bloom every spring.

I recently started to get involved in gardening and I'm not yet very good at it. I don’t know anything about landscape design, but I saw some really cool design solutions on this site https://www.lasdstudio.com/ . This company provides landscaping and decorating services for backyards in the San Diego area. I really like the examples of their work, I find the gardens that these specialists have created really unique and excellent.
