Laptop Cable?

So i managed to get windows running on my mac, and access tuner running in my windows install - now i need to connect my ECU to my laptop.

which cable can i use to do this? Need OBDII -> USB ?

If you connect your Mac device (without ECUs) to your computer and you don't have an internet download, then your device just can't access your devices. It's like if I tried to connect my AirPlay device to another smartphone.
Fortunately, these devices can be linked wirelessly, and if you need to get online, you can do so. But, of course, it's not like connecting to a Galaxy Tab via WiFi.
The weird thing is that still, some of the data management comes from Google. This is important for potential data recovery.
