Hi! Here are some good pregnancy tips which you can follow during your pregnancy as it is the perfect time to start taking care of yourself and the baby. You should be fit both mentally and physically as there will be several changes taking place in your body. As soon as you know that you are pregnant visit your doctor for regular routine check-up and also organise an antenatal care for you. Start following the advices which your doctor gives you and follow it religiously.

The main aim to keep in pregnancy is to eat healthy and a balanced diet whenever possible. Should start including almost five portions of vegetables and fruits daily in your diet. Try to eat good amount of carbohydrates like bread, rice in your meals and breakfast. Hi all the doctor told me take intake of folic acid and other nutrients is extremely important during pregnancy. You should atleast eat fish twice a week as it contains proteins, omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin D and minerals which are important for the growth of the baby. The omega-3 fatty acids help in the development of the baby’s nervous system and always remember that you have to eat for yourself and not for two people. The baby will absorb whatever you eat.

Hello, it is important to take Vitamin supplements during pregnancy if you are lacking some nutrients and vitamins in your body which are needed for the growth of the baby. You should take these only on the advice of your doctor. You should intake supplement of folic acid which has 400 micrograms of folic acid. Taking these for the first three months of your pregnancy can help to reduce the risks of the baby having neural tube defect like spina bifida. You can also take vitamin D supplement for better development of bones of your baby.

It is important to remember that you cannot eat every single thing during your pregnancy. There are some things which should be avoided for the betterment of baby and your health. Eating any type of unpasteurised milk or food, any type of pate, blue-veined cheeses like Roquefort or ready to cook meals can cause Listeriosis. Listeriosis is caused due to a bacteria called as listeria which is present in all of the above things. It can cause some serious complication during the pregnancy or also birth defects.

Hello all, it is extremely important to exercise during the pregnancy. Exercising during the pregnancy is absolutely safe unless you do it right. Exercising will help you fight those extra gained inches and will also help in a smooth labour. You can do some regular exercises like walking which is considered to be the best one. You can go swimming, do yoga, pilate and also join aquanatal classes. All these will help you keep active and even help you get back into shape after your baby is born. Be careful do not pressurize yourself.

The major tip I would like to give your pregnant mothers is that you should seriously avoid the intake of alcohol during pregnancy. Alcohol can cause some serious damage to the baby. Whenever you drink alcohol it will reach to your baby through the blood stream and the placenta. It is also advised by the doctors to stay away from alcohol at least during the first three months which are crucial. Heavy drinking can cause the baby to be born with fetal alcohol spectrum disorders and even some more serious birth defects.
