It is an intriguing novel. It follows the fortunes of four generations of a family in Calcutta and Rhode Island across 60 years. It is the tale about the relationship between two brothers. A good book...

I had recently read this book and found it suspenseful and intimately written. It is well written and spans across generations and geographies. It is an instant classic. It is a tale with many twists.

I did not find The Lowland interesting. It was a bit slow paced and boring in the middle. If you are a Jhumpa Lahri fan, then this might interest you otherwise there is nothing much in the book. As for suspense part, there is some suspense which comes out at the end.

The Lowland is engrossing and a beautifully written book. It is a very touching and compelling book. It is a heart breaking.
