Which food items should not be given to babies before they turn a year old? Is it safe to feed cheese to a 6 month old baby? Which fruits and vegetables are not safe for babies?

Babies should not be given small food items that could have a possibility of choking. All type of nuts such as peanuts, cashewnuts etc should be avoided as they can choke or also be a cause of allergic reactions. Chocolates should also be avoided along with all types of berries. Fried foods and foods with high sugar and salt content should not be given to the baby. Honey may also cause allergic reactions so should be avoided till the baby is one year old.
