A healthy routine is a must to help children imbibe healthy habits and grow into healthy and well balanced individuals. Here are some tips that parents can follow.

Developing a healthy routine for children is a must for raising them into healthy and well-balanced individuals. A perfect routine is crucial for doing all the things at right time and in a right way. Following a proper routine is good for the mental well being of children. A sound mental and physical health helps children do well in their academics as well. Therefore, it is important for parents to focus on developing a reliable health routine for them. Here is what parents can do to develop a reliable health routine for children.

Here are the things that parents can include in a reliable health routine for children.

Adequate Amount of Sleep

Adequate amount of sleep is necessary for children. They should get at least 8 hours of sleep. Proper sleep promotes healthy growth and development in children. According to some research, children grow when they sleep and more the children sleep the more they grow.

Having Meals at Right Time

Maintaining a proper schedule for feeding breakfast, lunch and dinner to children can help to reduce fussy eating habits. When children eat on time, they are less likely to demand
junk food. Healthy eating habits can be inculcated in children by giving them meals as per the schedule. Along with providing meals on time, deciding what they should eat also matters. Foods from all groups must be included in their diet. They should always eat what is healthy but allowing them their favourite food once in a week is alright.

Physical Activities

Children must spend at least one hour every day in doing some kind of physical activity or the other. Not including any kind of physical activity in the routine of children can give rise to disorders like
obesity. On the other hand if children carryout some sort of physical activity or the other, they grow at a right pace. Physical activities provide a lot of other health benefits. Physical activities can include activities like cycling or playing or any kind of outdoor game.

Proper Screen Time

Some sort of entertainment can help children to get rejuvenated and refreshed. Therefore, it is alright to allow them a screen time of an hour. They can watch their favourite television show or an animation series. This time can also be utilised to show them some kind of educational videos or the other.

No Sugary and Oily Foods

Sugary drinks and foods as well as oily foods are one of the common food items that can cause health issues in children. Sugary foods and drinks can cause
dental cavities and carries. Too much of oily foods can give rise to problems like sore throat etc.  

Positive Stimulation

Teaching children to stimulate themselves positively can not only help them in their childhood but also throughout their lifetime. They should know some simple ways to stimulate themselves positively. One of the simplest ways to do this is to make them write 5 positive messages to themselves every day.

Helping children imbibe a healthy routine right from childhood can help them have a bright future. Setting a healthy routine can help to cultivate good habits in them. The power of a healthy routine should not be underestimated. A reliable healthy routine is capable of keeping an individual healthy and happy. So, every parent must encourage their children to follow this reliable routine right away.
