Ragda chaat - perfect teatime snack
Ingredients
Super health, very easy, very tasty, very filling!
Ingredients:
Safed matar (vatana) - dried white peas
Onions
Tomatoes
Haldi powder
Red chilli powder
Garam masala
Meethi (khajur imli) chutney
Lemon
Salt
Oil, jeera and hing (optional)
Method
Soak safed vataana overnight. Next day boil vatana (add 1 cup water for every one cup soaked vatana). Then add haldi, red chilli powder, garam masala and salt.
In case you want some more flavour (optional), you can make a tadka of jeera and hing, and add it to the boiled vatana. Your ragda is ready.
Serve ragda chaat in a bowl, garnished with meethi chutney, finely chopped onions, tomatoes and corriander leaves. Spice it with red chilli powder, chaat masala, salt and lemon to taste.
