Instant Apple or Pear pickle
Ingredients
Very easy and quick, with fresh fruits adding their special juiciness and flavours
:
Apple or Pear
Achaar masala (Methiya sambharo)
Lemon (optional)
Oil (optional)
Method
Peel and dice apple or pear into small pieces. Mix 1/2 tsp of achaar masala (you can always add more later if you like it spicier), 1/2 lemon and 1/2 tsp oil. Your pickle is ready.
Enjoy with your meal, especially khakhras, puris or theplas!
(Tip: If you make the pickle ahead of time or the previous night, oil and lemon are not required since the oil from achaar masala and the juice from the fruits compensates.
You can also add vegetables like carrots, after par boiling them.
Also, since it made from fresh fruits, it should be refrigerated and consumed within 2 days.)
