Bread poha (vaghaareli bread - sauted bread)

Easy, very filling, perfect for teatime!

Ingredients:

Bread
Onions
Tomatoes
Tomato gravy (optional)
Ginger
Haldi powder
Red chilli powder
Dhaniya jeera powder
Garam masala
Tomato gravy (optional)
Salt
Oil

Method
In this recipe, hard bread or day-old bread is better. If bread is fresh (and soft), you can consider putting the slices in the toaster for a few seconds.

Make small pieces of bread and add the dry masala over it. - haldi powder, red chilli powder, dhaniya jeera powder and grated ginger. (Easier for masala to mix)

Then in a pan, heat some oil and saute kadi patta and chopped onions till they slightly brown. Then add chopped tomatoes and haldi powder and red chilli powder. Add salt, but be watchful of salt, becomes bread and a tendency to become very salty.

Add tomato gravy (if available) for the bread pieces and the masala to bind well. Mix well. Garnish with corriander leaves.
