Hi Everybody

My lil baby girl was born on the 13th at 8.51 p.m.
I was meaning to post my story for a long time ,but found time only today.
My water broke on the 13th morning at 7.30.I was in the hospital at 10.30 with contractions 5 mins apart lasting 30 secs. I was dialated to 2 cms then. By 4.00 contracions were strong and I was 5 cms. I opted for an epidural (much against my wishes for a natural birth) and I was 10 in an hour. It was 5.00 then.The nurse had me do some practice pushes for about 1 hr and my baby' s head did not begin to crown. My OB came in (much to my disappointment,thought my midwif would come) and had me push for the next 1.5 hrs.I was not making much progress and the head came out and went it. Epidural did not give me an urge to push and I did not feel the contractions coming in strong enough.I had it shut off and still could not push effectively.After 3 hrs of pushing,my OB decided to use forceps to take her out. I got a huge contraction and tried to push my heart out and with forceps she was delivered at 8.51 p.m.
I have a 4th degree episiotomy and Im still healing.Im not able to sit for long periods and trying to catch up on my sleep.My baby had a bit of jaundice and was on phototherpy for a couple of days.
She weighed 6 lbs and 10 oz and 19.5 inches long at birth.We have named her Nishta (that' s her dad' s choice)
I hope the rest of the moms have delivered their babies and all of you are holding your bundle of joy and healing well.
All the best. NC mom replied. congrats on ur baby girl! I had 3rd degree tear and delivered by baby boy 5 years ago with forceps too.. I can relate how painful it must be for you. take it easy and try to take enough rest. our son was 8lb7oz... dunno how this labor' s going to be as we are expecting anytime now.. nirmala replied.

Heartiest wishes on the birth of u' r little girl. ' Nishta' is a unique name. This is the first time i' m hearing it. What does it mean?

Just as we discussed, u dilated the whole 10cms on the same day. So u' r workouts did pay off:) Hope AVB also has delivered by now.

Take plenty of rest & enjoy u' r time with little ' Nishta' .

Congratulations. i am happy that u had a normal delivery. however 4th degree - shd be painful... hope u will recover from it very soon...

Nishta is a very nice name... how is she now? hope she is perfectly back to normal now. my sweet kisses to nishta.

how r u feeling being a mom? dont bother much abt the epidural tat u had to take. dont strain much now. mail me whenever u r back to normalcy.
