My doc had been saying since last few weeks that i was measuring behind...n today she did a sonogram which said my baby measures 3 weeks behind. They have got me an appt with a perinatal doc on monday, but i cannt wait till then..n i am so worried....she said the head is measuring fine but the body is 3 weeks behind. does anyone know why it could be happening...i'm not showing much too.:(

lagging fetal growth

hey,
looks like man of us are in the same boat. My baby's abdomen growth is also 2 weeks behind, and i was a little worried about it but if the growth pattern has been like this for a while or since the beginning then theres nothing to worry about. hope this helps u feel better.

Iam also in the same situation my doctor says my baby is lagging abt 2 weeks from abdomen(waist), she has even asked me to be on bed rest and Iam very anxious.How are u n ur baby doing now

Hi Gupta,

Even i am in the same situation.At 30 weeks when I went for a check up the doctor said the baby's growth was lacking behind by 3 weeks .Last week I moved to Delhi where I am gonna have my delivery the new doctor on examination said ,the head of the baby seems to be small and has asked me to have an a ultrasound tomm.I dont know,my weight gain seems to be fine but I am hardly showing.I am really worried.Lets see what the ultrasound says tomm.

hi swapnil
i had a detailed sonogram...n the doc said everything is ok...all babies r different..so urs may be a smaller baby...but she is going to do another sonogram in another 2 weeks to keep checking on progress...she also said that they might induce labour if the baby doesnt grow big....:(
