Howz it going? I am in US and taking lamaze classed which prepare parents to be for the delivery and all. We have been told to soak Fenugreek seeds and drink fenugreek seed's tea. I once in a while make Methi paratha also and eat it with cold dahi. I think all is okay as long as we don't over do it. My sis told that saboo dana kheer also helps for the lactation. However, if you have any doubts, it is better to clear them first.

Also, for tummy, for some moms it is high and for some it is low. Everybody's body is made differently and the way our body prepares for the pregnancy it is amazing.

Are they asking you to take fenugreek from now on or after delivery? One belief among my elders is that methi seeds are good to prevent backaches. so for my last one my granny asked me to roast some methi seeds. Whenever possible I would powder the roasted methi seeds with black pepper, salt and buttermilk/curd. It is yummy with hot rice.

After delivery for sure, the methi was given during breastfeeding. we should create a list of traditional recipes/ideas for pregnancy and lactation!
