I am due on Oct17th and am in my 29th week..having a girl...today i visited my doctor and she said the baby is in sideways position....if she doesnt change her position till 36 weeks, they might to do a c section. i m so scared...someone pls help me....is there something i can do to change the position or something i might be doing that i shudnt be....
pls help me..i'm very worried...i'm in US n already there is no one to help me...if it turns out to be a c section, god knows what will happen...:((..please help

Breech baby?

Hi Chetana,
I am from the Nov due date club...the doctor mentioned that the baby was in a breech position in my last ultrasound & I had asked archie if it was something to worry..she put me to ease that the position of the baby can change any time between 28 to 36 weeks. If the baby is still in a wrong position then maybe C-Section would be required but otherwise till 36 weeks there is nothing to worry. I confirmed the same with my Gyno also...so I guess you can be at ease at least for 6-7 weeks more.

I had a sonogram the very next day after the doc told me that the baby was sideways, since my tummy was measuring behind. In the sonogram, they said the baby is in head down position.
I hope it stays like that till the end. :)

Also, for the breech baby, my childbirth lead told a very good exercise. You can try this, it might help. Stand near a table, with ur legs streched out and both hand resting on the table. Now push ur back, back n forth while taking support from the table. She said she suggests it to everyone with breech baby n it always helps. You can try it anytime of the day.
