Due Date Club March 2007:My U/S update

Name: hello Hi everybody

I had my 35th week u/s on thursday.Baby' s head down and posterior.Baby weighs approximately 6 lbs.I dunno if its normal at this point of gestation.But the techie said that it' s good and nothing to worry and u/s estiates on weight can be off.Im hoping I dont deliver a 10 pounder or a 5 pounder.Too bad my OB had to be away at the hospital during the u/s for an emergency.I' ll start having my internals next week.I hope Im atleast 1 cm dialated.I had my hospital tour the same day and it was good.Im happy with all the care they provide for mom and the baby.Did some of the shopping for the baby on friday.Planning some more next week.But Im buying only the bare essentials.That' s about it for me.

Congrats regarding the U/S. Your baby at 6 pounds is absolutely the right weight. Nothing to worry.

I had an U/S at 35 weeks and my baby is 5.5 pounds. I' d checked the fetal weight chart and 5.5 or 6 pounds is normal. Till the time of delivery he/she is expected to gain maybe another 2 pounds. When is your EDD according to the latest U/S?

its really a coincidence between u and me. i suspected the same for u too since mine is also head down and posterior. i found this 2 weeks back. we both had similar symptoms. i really hope baby turns anterior. i am glad atleast its not breech

Hi Hello

What u say is very true ..actually the baby wud pick up weight in the last few weeks only and mine seems to be ok but cannot understand why the GYN said c-sec ..there is another scan scheduled after 2 weeks so shd see . I can understand how confused your co- sister must be feeling ..coz me too in the same case :(
Shd wait and see ..as of now eating everything i possibly can ...

do not worry.The last few weeks babies grow at trmendous pace.Eat a lot (whatever you can lay your hands on,coz after the delivery you have a huge list of donts)and Im sure your little one will gain weight.But Im concerned about your OB´ s decision on c section.Why would she want to deliver by c section if the baby is small.All the more the reason for a vaginal delivery ,right?You know,personally,OBs in India simply rush you for a c section for no apparent reason.Thats what I hate about them.One example is my co -sis who had her baby 2 yrs baby.Her son was super tiny and born a month early by c section.Till date she doesnt know why the c section was done.We all assume that it was bcoz he had cord around his neck.You should talk to your OB about the mode of delivery and if you are not convinced ,threaten to change her.Im really praying for you and your baby and hope you have a vaginal delvery and a super healthy baby.

its really a coincidence between u and me. i suspected the same for u too since mine is also head down and posterior. i found this 2 weeks back. we both had similar symptoms. i really hope baby turns anterior. i am glad atleast its not breech

hearing from you after a long time.I was wondering if you have delivered already.Have your inlaws arrived?How are the last few weeks going on?Yes,we have been having the same symptoms throughout,so I think you are gonna have a girl like me.Dont forget to treat me when you have one )Do you know how much the baby weighs ? Im concerned about mine coz shes a little less than 6 lbs.I dont want a huge baby and have trouble pushing her out.Wassup for the long weekend..(anyways its kinda over)

Better to use prenatal-post natal tablets... as well B complex for 6 months to 1 year... use a cloth tie up around belt area..eat properly...take rest...that' s all you can do...

did you take any Epidural during delivery? some people exp b' z of that...if so see the Chiropractor..

Priya is he getting burp? Some times it will take 10-15 mts to get burp...if they don' t get burp they will vomit...if you over feed then also they will vomit...

other questions is vomiting or spitting? lots of diff bet them..

oh...i had the same problem...u' ll be alright jst avoid food whch cause constipation. apply sucral ano tube before and after motion and eat lot of papayya. add kali mirch to ur food instead of red chillies.and atlst 15 min walk daily.
