give your baby a smooth introduction.
2. when you offer homecooked indian meal start with no salt, no sugar, no spices and try to make them just like gerber,
3. once she accepts it, make the tastiest meal that you can make for your lil one and see how she accept it,,dont put nething except salt or turmerric nd at the most cumin coriander pwder,,,no chillies etc...
dont repeat the same type of food,,9months babies needs varieties, colours and textures in thr diet. so offer the same food in diff ways..
lemme give you one funny example,,my dd gags idli,,she eats idli though,,only when i cut them in triangle or star shapes with cookie cutters!! thats how i was able to make her eat..later, she started avoidng that, all i did was, added some boiled vegie while making her idlis,,it was interestng for her to get something in her mouth when she bites idli and she started eating ! finally !!! sometimes in her batter, i would add beetroot juice drops,,sometimes spinach soup to make it colourful,,and she has njoyed it !! not to mention the colours itself were so interestng,,her interest in food that whats this, and this and let me put in mouth,,made her eat herself !
so try it out.
dont stop suddenly,.,,offer dal with gerber cereal, the next day, curry with gerber cereal, the next day, something like roti with gerber vegie+our indian curry(without hot or spicies, more of gerber or boiled vegies),,and likewise,,see if it helps....
good luck,
