wght is just right, no worries.
at 7-8months even though your baby is on solids, formula or breastmilk is still the part of her PRIMARY diet.
at the same time, until 9months, your role is just to introduce her variety of foods but with limited quantity considering that her primary diet as milk AND solids.
at 7-8months, a healthy baby is expected to eat in the range mentioned below.please note 5oz here and there, a couple tablespoons less or moree is okay !!
Breast milk: 3–5 feedings, or on demand
OR Iron-fortified formula: 3–5 feedings of 6–8 ounces each=total approx 18oz to 40oz,,dpending on how he has accepted solids & ofcourse apetite.
Infant cereal: 4–6 tablespoons
at 8months, your baby is expected to complete all the single grain cereals like rice and barley and oatmeal and millet.
you can combine them and start offering.
if you are offering ragi, you can alternate it with cereals and thn the next day raagi.
Infant juice: 2–4 ounces (from cup only),,100% juice is not recommended at 8months,so give diluted juice with 1juice:4water..add more water if your baby seems to be showing reflux with this.offer at later noon times with a light snack as this is the part of day when babies need to take alot of liquids. best way to offer this before 1 year is to use fresh fruit puree/juice and add water to it.avoid outside juices even though they are 100% natural..
apart from juices,a diff serving of Fruit: 1–2 tablespoons
Vegetables: 5–7 tablespoons
Meats: 1–2 tablespoons
Finger food: One small serving (toast, crackers, teething biscuits, plain dry cereal like cherrios) often great with juices or after dinner snacks.
so it is expected with this chart that if baby drinks approx this much amt of milk or formula, considering he is a healthy baby, your baby should be able to EAT approx in this range of the measurements by SOLIDS..
also, at 8months complete, introduce them with proteins like fully cooked egg yolks(no whites until 1year),tofu,cheese(sharp or hard cheese without animal fat),curd(yobaby if in US or fresh homemade curd, at room temperatures),,and also introducing multigrain varieties like pastas, multigrain pancakes,,is a good start..but only after your baby compeletes 8months..not before that.
hope this suffices.
your diet timings are ok, i expect her to drink more often,,how much she demands for bm ? if its as above thn fine !
try to make her dinner time at 830 and see if that helps ! 730 is abit early. also check on the qty and see if it helps.
check if :
1. teethng is not the reason.check her gums.
2. check if temperature is nt the reason,,if you are in US or place where heater is on,,thn its quite likely that she might be just thirsty at night,,you can try offering her lukewarm water and see if it helps.
wean her, if you think your bm is becoming less, pump the milk and offer, and thn rest of the feeds offer formula..you dont want to end up continung with breastfeeding at the cost of non-acceptance of formula which might make her continue that habit n not drink at all...
breastfeeding is good as long as it doesnt affect the health of baby..as of now,,herr wght is just right no worries, but 1month down the line, if your supply continues to dwindle thn you might have to take it seriously.
other thn that,,all looks fine,,offer her more alternatives, and by 9months, make sure she complts all the single grain cereals, fruits and vegies so that she is ready for proteins n milk byproducts.
good luck
