Sorry gals,did not mean to dampen your spirits ,but my dad called us this morning and told me n mom that my granny passed away.She' s my dad' s mom.She was ailling for a while but we did not know that the end would be so near.Im very upset and feel very sad.I was with her until I got married and came here.I never saw her after my wedding.She was all excited bout the baby,so I wanted to send her pics as soon as the baby would be born....
Anyways,again,my mom had planned a baby shower(seemantham and valai kappu) for next thursday and now that' s cancelled :(

I can totally understand how you must be feeling now...I too have an ailing grandmother with me now. Now that it has happened and cannot be reversed, atleast be happy that she was there for you until here...She knew that you were pregnant and will be having a baby soon and as Saradha rightly put her blessing will definetly be there for you and your baby.
I too had a bad incident in my family ....my chithappa' s wife (Chitthi) passed away suddenly in a massive heartattack....she is only 42yrs old and my cousin sister is only 13yrs old and so my valaikaapu date was also changed...I dont want to create too much of melancholy now, but whatever is happening is not in out hands. Dont worry too much about valaikaapu and Seemantham....its all just customs and is not going to affect you or your baby in any way.

I know it will be very difficult for you to divert your attention now.....only time and the birth of your baby can heal your loss...so take care of you dear and I pray that your grandmothers soul should rest in peace.

i am from april board. read ur msg. dont just think abt that. i know it shd b a great loss for ur family. wait - people used to say when elders expire b4 a child birth - then the kid will get all the blessings of the person who left this world.

so ur kid will be th blesssed kid dear. and reg seemandham and valaigapu - i know how u would feel when everything is arranged and now cancelled. but its all mindset.

i want to tell u onething. at this time - ur calmness and cool tempered nature will really help ur kid. so divery ur attn on other aspects. ur kid shd take the predominance than anything else in the world.

i shall also pray for u and lets all pray for ur grannys soul to rest in peace.
