Name: Ruchi Soni Hi All, Hope all of you are doing great in your 3rd trimester. I wanted to know that in US, when the doctor releases the new mother with kid from the hospital , how much care and efforts are needed at home to bring life at normal. I will have only my husband by my side, who doesn't know any cooking. My mother in law might not be able to travel from India to do anythign for me. In this scenario, is there some kind of help available in New York area or my husband can learn few tips to sustain it. I would travel back to India after the delivery in January 07 and i am due in October 06.

Hey ruchi,
where do u stay?? I dont know any nannies as yet.. but u can check the website..www dot crigslist dot com and u would get a list of all... also if u have a local indian store close by u can check with them also.. they have contct nos..
I am in Newport/Jersey city.. if u stay close by lemme know i will try to get few numbers for you..

Hey Ruchi,

U dont need to worry..Just take some tips from your mom in law and your mom .
You get some nannys around.. even Indian who cook and take care of the baby and the mother..They are lil expensive..they charge arnd $300-$500/week..NY has lot of indian food joints and dibba syatem too.. u can look for that incase your husband cant cook..
