Parenting Teens:For parents

Teenagers are the same everywhere but I think this article is especially true for Indian parents. We tend to mollycoddle our children even after they are adults. Teenagers need their personal space. They especially do not want to be called embarrassing nicknames like Gogo, Baby, etc.

This is typical Indian behaviour. You give your child an embarrassing nickname and expect him to still answer to it when he grows older. Parents often forget that they are in a public setting and behave as if they are still at home. No wonder teenagers are so wary of going out with their parents.
