My 3 hr GTT test came out abnormal in 2 and 3 hour readings. 2 hour reading is 176, and 3 hour reading is 173..My obgyn said both are high. She said my zero and 1st hour was normal. she said I will be closely monitored now on.

I am concerned. Any sugesstions, and hope are appreciated. I just don't want my baby to get affected by this high glucose..

you are qualified to call a GD patient.
This will only demant carbohydrate intake as your metabolism is not designed to breakdown glucose efficiently. However this is a temporary phase and not a typical diabetes. You should be worry free from the side of baby because it's nice to note that you have an idea about having GD, which will make you take steps towards controlling either by diet or insulin, whichever does trick to the situation.

will it affect growth of baby: NO it won't. if not noticed (which is not your case) then you could lead to polyhydramnios, macrosomic baby, high billirubin levels in fetus utlimately leading to jaundice after childbirth.
Since you have identified condition you will not have to worry on this part. You will be pushed to maining glucose levels and will be taken care that you and baby will face no trouble from this condition.

All in all you should avoid sugars or anything that contain sugar, bleached flour recipes.
