Dear All
I am having my first baby due in October and God knows suddenly these days my brain has started working overtime. I have some queries for you all(esp Archi. Hope you could throw some light :-
1) I cannot sleep properly at night. Keep on waking up not just because of the discomfort but also stupid disturbing dreams. Why is it so??
2) I am planning to travel in 32nd week of my pregnancy(its a 2 hrs 15 min flight). Do you think it culd be dangerous?
3) My last scan (23 Weeks) showed a low lying placenta. God forbid, does any one of you have the same problem? What are the chances of the placenta moving up again?

hope to read ur views soon
thanks

Hi Chetana,
Dreams are normal from what I read in the books, it is because we have so many emotions mixed inside and we unconciously also think about somethings like how is our baby going to be, is everything going to be okay...so much more with parents, in-laws....so don't worry a lot. It is not real. Just tell you hubby to rub your back if you are scared or heart starts to beat faster. Drink a glass of milk. It helps for sleep. these days I am kind of doing taht, but I am soooo lazy.

2) With low lying placenta....I dunno what you doc said, but if he/she said yes, I would ask another doc...twice to make sure. Also, flight is for about 2 hours. Keep walking b4 the flight or keep your legs straight up b4 boarding the flight. Just keep your hands underneath your tummy softly so that the belly doesn't get jerks when flight lands. Air plane's noice is also very very loud, I forgot to take ear plugs, but take'em or cotton...I think baby can hear mostly from our ears right now...I did not close my ears... and all seems to be okay...I travelled 7 hours flight in 25th week, but not with low lying placenta...? I just have feet swelling and minor problems. Take Care

third question...I dunno?

1. Its very normal that you are having lot of dreams but try stay calm listen to good music don't stress too much .
2.Did you ask you doc. about your plans.Anyway below 34th week is considered o.k for normal cases but since you have a low lying placeta they don't advice you usually that gets cleared by 95% of the time but i know your doc. should repeat your ultrasound in your 28-30 weeks so if things are o.k then you should be fine but i would really suggerst don't keep your hope for travel high since you have a low lying placenta .And this low lying placenta about 5% of the pregnant have and you see that in your second trim. ultrsound and about 95% of the time its get clear
take care
