Hi,
my Hb levels in the first trimester was 14.5 and I will be tested again next week when i would be in my 26th week again for my iron levels. I am Lacto-vegetarian I have been trying to eat a lot of fruits and green salad is there anything other than these to increase the iron stores? I am prenatals that have good iron levels... What is normal iron level at this stage of pg?
I am 5feet 1 inch and gained 14 pounds in the last 25 weeks of my pg... is this normal or should i have gained more.

take apple,all green veg.,iron rich cereal/cereal bar ,nuts,angir,dates,etc. i take iron tablets alonge with prenatal to help me coz i tried diet but then i have to be put on iron tablet to help.So maybe your doc. will see in this blood report if things are not satisfing she will give you iron tablets .Since some ppl. have problem with iron so they try first with diet. take care
