Hi everybody
Hope all of you are doing good.I had my 28th week appointment today and baby is fine.I measure 28 as well.I had my 1hr GST today and hope I dont flunk.Need some inputs from you all...
My doc was a bit concerned about my weight gain.This month Ive yet again gained 6 pounds.I just dont know where I pack pounds from.I have a bowl of cereal and orange for bfast.Lunch is south Indian with rice and vegetables.Dinner is mostly roti with beans or whole wheat pasta.I drink 2 glasses of milk and eat out maybe once a week.But Ive completely stopped sweets,chips and ice cream.
Doc wants me to cut rice,pasta and roti.What am I left with to eat?Im a veggie and dont know what choices I have.She wants me to include atleast 2 proteins with every meal.I eat protein bar as a snack between my lunch and dinner.What other veggies sources I have apart from beans and pulses and how do I include them in all my meals?
Any input is much appreciated.
Second time moms -Nila and DP
Need your help on this one.Doc again asked if I have found a ped for the baby.I have a hospital right opposite my apartment where a bunch of peds practice.Im planning to pick one from those coz I dont want to travel too long.Do you its too late now to look for one.And what possible qs should I be asking the ped before deciding?
And finally,doc asked me about what birth control I want to use after the baby.I dont want use the pills or the patch(jut dont feel like using anything hormonal)I was on pill for only 8 months and I totally hated it.What about IUD?I did a research on Mirena but I was quite alarmed to read some facts like you totally stop getting periods after some time.If you dont mind,what did you all opt for? And other first time moms like me,what are you all planning to do?
I wasnt at all prepared for all these and I was thrown back when my OB asked me all these.Im really confused.Please help.
