I had my third trimester scan y' day and an internal examination today. Scan was pretty okay.

During the internal examination I experienced lot of pain. Though I had anticipated a little discomfort, this pain was little shocking for me. Worse, I had bleeding too. Doc said its okay and expected. But I didn' t have any of this during last pregnancy.

Did anyone experience bleeding after internal examination ?. Should I be concerned ?. I know, I should just go by what doc says, but still I got little worried.

btw, doc said i am 1cm dilated and waiting ..

Internal exam is/was painful. But so far I never had bleeding for both pregnancies. But doc told me and also heard from others that its normal to have little bit of bleeding after internal. So, it should be ok in your case unless it continues.
I had my doc apt today and surprisingly there was no change in my cervix or with baby even after last weeks contractions. Doc said that they were false pains. But he also said if the contractions continue with more intensity, I might go into labor. I did ask him if I can go for induced sometime next week but his answer was not to go for it unless there is medical reason and there is still time for duw date. Also as my son was born 1week after due date, he said may be my daughter is also following her brothers steps :)
So, I am still pregnant and counting but in a way ok also as my in-laws are coming tonight and they will have sometime to relax.
