Due Date Club January 2008:Is it ok to wear jeans?

Hello People,

In my 17th week..i' ve already started feeling the movements..my belly shows a lil now..people say tht generally in first pregnancy the belly doesn' t show much and it does only by the end of 5/6th month..is everyone here of the same opinion too?

Also, I don' t know whether it is ok to wear jeans/trousers as my aunt keeps telling me not to wear them as it mite stop the baby' s growth. The one tht i wear isn' t too tight and it is low waist..I guess in that case it won' t affect the baby...will it???

Please suggest..

Thanks,

Rupali

Hi,
Its glad to know to u' ve started feeling baby movements I am desperately waiting for that day.
Well even I was wearing jeans till last week it was also low waist, but i felt a bit uneasiness & a bit of pain in lower abdomen, so i decided not to wear & i started wearing trousers having elastic or naade waala so u can adjust accordingly with loose kurtas,I tell u thats very comfortable & u even don' t have any risk of harming ur baby.
Try to wear loose fitting clothes so that both of u r comfortable in it.
I am trying to avoid jeans as after having food my stomach tightens & have no option to loose me jeans button.

Rupali,

Congrats on feeling baby movements & everybody body structure is different and so for some people it doesn' t show even in their second pregnancy so if your is 1st & showing there is no harm as u are going to be mom soon and if not showing nothing to worry as baby grow at their own pace.

As for wearing jeans I have stopped wearing my regular clothes as they are tight on waist & uncomfortable instead I have already buyed few pregnancy clothes as they are comfortable & easy on my stomach.

Try to shop for maternity clothes n loose t-shirts as u don' t want to make urself uncomfortable...there are special maternity jeans, pants & skirts that have elastic waist & fit as u progress through pregnancy or buy overall as it also don' t have any waist & is comfortable.

Hope this helps
Daisy

Year of school admission
Hi, my son was born in January 2008. My doubt now is his school admission. CBSE needs children to complete 3 years and 6 months for LKG. Is this confirmed? If that is so, the age is calculated as on what date? If it is by June 1st, then our kids will miss out by a few days. That is still allright as many people nowadays believe it is good to join kids in LKG as late as... - Sujani [View Message]
