Hi Preety,

Sorry for the delay in response. I usually try to rest as much as I can whenever I get backpains and avoid standing for a long time.

Sheetal,

At each prenatal visit, your health care provider will check your urine for protein and will measure your blood pressure. Protein in the urine and high blood pressure are symptoms of a pregnancy-related condition that includes high blood pressure
Also at every visit, your health care provider will listen to your baby’s heartbeat with a hand-held device called a Doppler. After about 20 weeks, he or she also will measure your abdomen to follow your baby’s growth. A normal heartbeat and growth rate are important signs that your baby’s development is on track.
besides that near the end of the first trimester, screening tests for some birth defects may be offered depending on pratice. Maternal serum screening tests are used to find out if you are at increased risk for having a baby with certain birth defects such as:

Neural tube defects
Down syndrome
Chromosome defects

Mostly all are checked for above sooner or later. If above Neural tube, down syndrome tests are not performed then u can talk to your doctor

All the best
Daisy

Hi Daisy,

Thanks a lot for this useful information. My blood pressure is checked everytime I go for a checkup but not urine or any other tests. I will check if they are needed. Thanks again.

Year of school admission

If that is so, the age is calculated as on what date? If it is by June 1st, then our kids will miss out by a few days. That is still allright as many people nowadays believe it is good to join kids in LKG as late as... - Sujani [View Message]
